LAKE CHARLEVOIX MAPLE™ SYRUP
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT
We depend on natural flow from taps instead of forced sap extraction with vacuum pumps, lessening stress on our trees. We boil it over hardwood instead of pellets or gas, and that takes longer than required. We use these “inefficient” practices for forest sustainability and for the same reason that top chefs use “inefficient” wood-fired grills and pizza ovens for slow cooking: i.e. Best taste.
More than a million people from all over the country visit northern Michigan each year, many experiencing “Charlevoix the Beautiful,” a town that punches far above its weight in name recognition and pleasant associations. Sweet gifts evoke sweet memories.
